2ND PLACE!
I won 2nd place at the Mid Michigan Art Guild winter show with my piece "My Hats". I guess that I need to do more work of this sort. I am currently working on another military themed piece utilizing chess pieces. Chess pieces are military in nature so it's a logical connection.
I have to clean up my in home studio to make room for the furniture that I am bringing home from my studio at Grove gallery Co-op. Sad to leave there but it is time.
Efforts this month will concentrate on painting. I have 4 pieces near completion that just need some polishing up and then they will be ready for display.
I went last week to pick up my piece at Gallery 1212 but they had decided to keep it on display another month. It had been originally part of a guild show that ended Dec. 28th.
I have a ton of work to do this month for the military so my marketing efforts will be minimal this month. This spring I need to work on getting gallery representation outside my local area. I am looking at submitting an entry in another state. It's time to get started on that effort.
